DJ Kartier ("the App") is published by Producer Supply ("we," "us," "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how we use it, and your choices. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

We built DJ Kartier to need as little of your data as possible. There is no account to create. We do not ask for your real name, email address, phone number, contacts, or location, and there is no advertising or tracking in the App.

Information we collect

Leaderboard nickname and scores — only if you choose to join. DJ Kartier has a global leaderboard. It is optional, and nothing is sent to us until you pick a nickname for it. When you do, the App sends us that nickname, your game scores (your XP and your best results in the in-app games), and a random identifier that identifies your installation of the App. We store these so the leaderboard can show where you rank. The nickname you choose is shown publicly to other players. Nicknames are checked automatically for offensive words before they are accepted. You can change your nickname at any time in the App, and you can ask us to remove your entry entirely (see "Your choices and rights").

The random installation identifier. This is a random string the App creates on your device the first time it needs one — for example dev_k3f9a2x1b7m.... It is not your name, not your phone's serial number or hardware ID, and not an advertising identifier. We use it to keep your leaderboard entry attached to your installation, and to power transfer codes, which let you move your progress from one device to another.

Purchase information. If you buy a subscription, the transaction is processed by Apple or Google. We use a third-party service, RevenueCat, to confirm your purchase and unlock premium features. We receive your purchase history and a randomly generated identifier so we can keep your access active and let you restore purchases. We never receive your credit card or payment details.

Technical data. Like any internet service, our hosting and content-delivery providers (including Cloudflare) automatically process technical information such as IP address in order to deliver audio content, operate the App, and prevent abuse. We do not use this information to identify you or to track you across other apps or websites.

On-device data. Your songs, your settings, your themes and your downloaded sounds are stored on your device. This data stays on your device and is removed if you delete the App.

Microphone and voice recordings

DJ Kartier can record your voice so you can sing, rap or beatbox over a song you have made in Kartier Studio.

The microphone is only used when you start a recording yourself. The App asks your permission the first time, and the microphone is never used anywhere else in the App or in the background.
Your recordings are saved on your device, in storage that belongs to the App.
We never receive them. Recordings are not uploaded to us or to anyone else. The App has no ability to send a recording anywhere on its own.
You can delete a recording in the App at any time, and deleting the App removes all of them.
The only way a recording leaves your phone is if you choose to share it, using your phone's own share options — for example sending it to a friend in a messaging app. That is your choice and happens outside DJ Kartier.

Photos and videos

If you choose to, the App can use a photo from your library as the background for your piano or your Studio, and can take the audio from a video you pick and turn it into a playable sound. The App asks your permission first, and only ever reads the specific item you pick. Photos and videos are used on your device and are never uploaded to us.

Bluetooth

The App can connect to Bluetooth MIDI keyboards, including the Kartier Piano. Bluetooth access is used only to discover and connect to musical keyboards so you can play. We do not collect any data through Bluetooth.

What we do NOT do

We do not track you across other apps or websites.
We do not use third-party advertising networks or analytics SDKs.
We do not sell or rent your information.
We do not upload your recordings, your photos, or your songs.
There is no chat or messaging in the App, and no way for one player to send anything to another.

Third-party services

We rely on the following providers, each with their own privacy practices:

Apple — processes in-app purchases (privacy policy)
Google — processes in-app purchases on Android (privacy policy)
RevenueCat — manages subscriptions and entitlements (privacy policy)
Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and the leaderboard service (privacy policy)

Data retention

We keep your leaderboard entry (nickname, scores and installation identifier) for as long as you take part in the leaderboard, and purchase records for as long as needed to provide your subscription and to meet legal and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your leaderboard entry at any time.

Children's privacy

DJ Kartier is a music-making app that younger players enjoy, and we have built it to be safe for them. There is no account to create, no advertising, no tracking, and no chat or messaging between players. The only thing a player can make public is a nickname they choose for the leaderboard, which is checked automatically for offensive words and which can be changed or removed at any time.

If you are a parent or guardian and you would like us to remove information associated with your child's use of the App, email us at support@producersupply.net and we will delete it.

Your choices and rights

Change or remove your leaderboard nickname in the App at any time.
Delete your recordings in the App at any time.
Ask us to delete your leaderboard entry by emailing us — please include the nickname you used so we can find it.
Delete the App to remove all data stored on your device.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
